Breast Implant Removal

Patient Details

Anatomic silicone implants over the muscle by another surgeon 7 years prior to seeing me. She was concerned of possible negative health effects related to her implants. I performed a removal of her implants along with a complete capsulectomy (removal of the scar tissue capsule that surrounds the implants). She is seen 3 months post-op. (Note: her initial scar was in her lower breast fold. She asked that I use the same scar for the revision surgery. Post-op, her breast retracted upwards about a half an inch leaving the scar visible on her chest.)
